Visits to the Ahoy BC website doubled from last year, the first year the site was up and running.
Michael McLaughlin, Manager of the BC Ocean Boating Tourism Association says the website helps boaters plan trips throughout the coastal and island shores in BC but it’s much more than that…..
McLaughlin says it’s been a good year for the tourism boating business.
McLaughlin says between 60 and 65 per cent of the tourism boaters are BC residents, about 27 per cent are Americans and the balance are mostly from Alberta.
