It’s a celebration a century in the making.
This Saturday, April 5th, Duncan Elementary will host their 100-year anniversary.
Carolyn Prellwitz is the secretary of the Cowichan Valley Schools Heritage Society.
She says Duncan Elementary is a point of pride for the Cowichan Valley.
Prellwitz says they expect a lot of former students to show up. They’ll also have a display set up with pictures showing what the school looked like in 1913 when it opened.
The celebration begins at 1:30 p.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
