The Capital Regional District is considering getting into the ferry business.
The District has issued a request for proposals for a passenger ferry that would shuttle between Sidney and the Southern Gulf Islands.
It’s only a pilot project for now.
It could travel between Salt Spring, North Pender, South Pender, Mayne, Saturna, and Galiano Islands along with Sidney and it’s expected such a service would expand tourism opportunties.
